As recommended by the CAF Medical Committee, the Organising Committee of the African U17 Championship has agreed and rescheduled the kick-off times of eight matches of the final Tournament in Niger due to the very high temperatures recorded in Niamey at this time of the year.
The Organising Committee considered the health of the players high on its list of priorities and after due consultation with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) accepted to adjust the kick off times of some fixtures by an hour.
Match day one remains unchanged as follows;
15:00 local time (14:00GMT) Niger vs Nigeria
18:00 local (17:00GMT) Guinea vs Zambia
Following the changes, match number 16, the final will be kick-off at 18:00 GMT and 3rd/4th place match 15 at 15:00 GMT.
Other matches adjusted are match 3 Cote d’Ivoire vs South Africa (now 15:00 GMT) match 4 Mali vs Cameroon (now 18:00GMT), match 5 Nigeria vs Guinea (now 15:00 GMT), match 6 Zambia vs Niger (now 18:00GMT), match 7 South Africa vs Mali (now 15:00GMT), match 8 Cameroon vs Cote d’Ivoire (now 18:00GMT).
The 11th edition of the Africa U17 championship in Niger will be held from February 15 – March 2, 2015. The tournament also serves as qualifiers for the FIFA U17 World Cup, Chile 2015.
