In conformity with the decision of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone A, the Liberian Football Association has sent an email reply to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) rejecting the offer of air tickets for two LFA officials who were invited to attend the finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2014.
The email addressed to Houda LEKHAL, reads; “The Liberia Football Association (LFA) presents its compliments and herein wishes to inform you that, its two representatives will not be at the 2014 World Clubs Cup Tournament as scheduled. This decision is in solidarity with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the West African Football Union (WAFU)”. The email was signed by the General Secretary, Mr. Alphonso Armah.
The FRMF had sent two e-tickets to LFA and requested an urgent confirmation inorder “to avoid lack of seats”.
WAFU Zone A had unanimously agreed to reject all invitations ( in solidarity with CAF) from the Moroccan Football Federation who refused to host the CAN 2015 because of the Ebola epidemic.
